April 2023 Newletter Now Online!
Aloha Mai Kakou!
These first three months have been very busy for us with Makahiki, Ali’i Celebrations, Road Scholar and the Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole Parade. This was the very first parade out in Kapolei and it was very touching to see our lahui alongside the parade route with their families from the beginning of the parade to the end. You could see the joy in their faces. There were over 80 units in the parade withvehicles, floats, bands and even pa’u riders. Hauoli la Hanau Prince Kuhio!
The next three months will be busy as well, with the Celebration events for Kamehameha Ekahi! Hope to see you at our celebrations.
In April, I will be part of the delegation for Queen Liliuokalani’s Portrait event, at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington D.C. Looking forward to sharing with you my visit when I return.
Mahalo nui to my board of directors and members for all of your kokua whenever asked, I’m grateful to you all.
